Breathing RoomA Christian Life Group for Young Adults

Frederick Buechner answered the question, What does it mean to find and follow your personal calling when he wrote, “The place God calls you to is where your deep gladness meets the world’s deep hunger.”

Breathing Room is an ecumenical opportunity for young adults to explore their deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger, traveling as companions on the journey. Breathing Room provides a space—physically, emotionally, spiritually—where we engage and discern the important questions of life in a communal atmosphere of inclusivity, diversity, and love. Rooted in the rich Benedictine, Franciscan, & Ignatian spiritual traditions that Anglican spirituality draws upon, and charged with the Gospel of justice and peace, we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ to a world that hungers for God’s love. Breathing Room is a monasticism of the heart for a new generation of contemplative activists.
